I'm a Black millennial – almost 40 – in my auntie era.

I've been reading since 2014. I started reading tarot to cope with, and recover from, a tough marriage situation type of deal. I've been reading ever since.

I tend to use RWS decks, or "modern" interpretations of the RWS. Because...

I was born and raised in a hyper-traditional Christian church and went to school at an Episcopalian day school. So a lot of my references come from that life experience.

The deck I primarily use is the Pastel Journey Tarot by Vanessa Somuayina. Some of my interpretations of cards are adjusted based on life experience as a Black femme. I tend to comment on those differences if they're wildly different to the RWS card pulled.
